Reservations and Confirmations
Reservation requests must always be made in writing and sent to our office by email, 60-30 days in advance (tours, trekking, climbing), especially in groups, due to the company’s work policy. For Inka Trail reservations (60 days in advance with 100% payment based on space availability).
The following information is important:
• Full names as they appear on the passport or ID (adult and/or child)
• Number of people, pick-up from the airport, bus terminal, other points
• Indicate the date, time of departure, arrival, and Return, requested hotel
• Passport/ID number, nationality, age, language
• Additional services

Seasons:
High Season:
May, June, July, and August (Easter, long holidays, mountaineering, and National Holidays)
October, November, and December (School Promotion)
During high season, reservations cannot be accepted with less than 48 hours’ notice for individuals, and for groups, a minimum of 7 days’ notice is required, due to company policy.

Low Season:
The period not included in high season. During low season, reservations can be accepted up to 24 hours in advance.
All reservations are considered preventive until the (30%) prepayment for the service is made, confirming the reservation.

Prices
• Our prices are competitive and include administration and operating costs. They are valid for one year, do not include 18% VAT (Impuesto General de Venta), and are subject to change without prior notice due to the current situation in the country. • Domestic passengers who require an invoice must pay the 18% VAT plus the 18% VAT.
• Foreign passengers can request payment receipts at our office (they are exempt from the 18% VAT).

Payment System
After booking your trip, agencies and passengers must make the payment for the reservation fee by international or national bank transfer, Western Union, and other means. This payment guarantees the service contract with Turismo Exploring Perú.
We accept payments in the national currency (S/) or in foreign currency (US dollars).
To validate your reservation, you must deposit 30% of the total price as an initial payment for the contracted service. Send a request to our email address: info@exploringperu.com or WhatsApp (+51998831355) so we can provide you with the account number in soles or dollars. You can also make online payments through YAPE or PLIN.
Once the deposit is confirmed, we will send you the ticket or contract. The remaining 70% balance must be paid in Huaraz or Lima during your briefing at our office or at your hotel before your trip’s departure.
There are no refunds if you cancel less than 30 days in advance.
All reservations are considered prepaid until the 30% prepayment for the service is made, confirming the reservation:
• For groups, 100% 30 days before the passengers’ arrival.
• For independent passengers, 100% 7 days before the passengers’ arrival.
• The final invoice will be issued upon arrival of the transfer or no later than upon the arrival of the group and/or passengers. It will be sent by mail, at the client’s request.

Cancellations
The percentage of reservations canceled by the client is due to unforeseen circumstances, such as flight delays, social unrest (strikes or riots), bad weather, roadblocks, landslides, and any other inconvenience caused by third parties. The penalties applicable for cancellations of services are:
• 30 days before the departure date: 10% of the total.
• 30 to 7 days before the departure date: 50% of the total.
• 6 to 0 days before the departure date: 100% of the total.
The penalties apply to services such as air tickets, train tickets, entrance fees to Machu Picchu, the Inca Trail, hotels, transportation, etc. These are purchased and reserved in advance, and many of them do not offer cancellation or refund options.
Important Note:
Hiking and climbing costs are non-refundable. This includes entrance tickets to the Inca Trail, train tickets, guides, porters, cooks, and muleteers (Cusco, Huaraz, Arequipa). This is because services are reserved and paid for at the time of booking; therefore, the required deposit is non-refundable.
No Show We will retain the full amount and we are not responsible for the customer’s no show due to flight delay or cancellation.

The company is not responsible for damage to or loss of luggage, accidents, unforeseen expenses, unavoidable delays, services provided by third parties, or direct causes beyond our control. In the event of a no-show due to unforeseen causes, the company will provide the client with a certificate for processing with their insurance company.

Important note: In the event that the client abandons the tour for any reason, any additional expenses are the client’s responsibility, and the company is not responsible for any reimbursement.

Insurance

Tourism Exploring Peru recommends that all passengers have accident and/or travel insurance, and, if possible, evacuation insurance.

We do not provide accident or travel insurance, and it is not included in our costs. If a passenger or group member becomes ill or an accident occurs, we will transfer them to a nearby clinic for appropriate care.

In the event of an accident or when evacuation is necessary, we organize all rescue and evacuation logistics; in both cases, expenses are borne by the client or their insurance.

We recommend that companies and tour operators verify that the passengers they send have travel insurance.

Responsibilities / Important

Turismo Exploring Perú reserves the right to modify or withdraw any part of a Client’s planned itinerary in the interest of protecting and/or improving customer service.

Luggage is transported and transferred at the owner’s risk throughout the trip.

The passenger must process a visa, passport, or entry permit in their country of residence.

Turismo Exploring Perú acts only as an agent under legal conditions. While exercising all possible precautions, cancellations may be made due to weather conditions, natural phenomena, riots, damages, losses, delays, or any other irregularity that may be caused by voluntary or negligent acts or omissions on the part of companies or individuals providing or contracting for transportation, hotel, or other services related to the fulfillment of the itineraries or tours.

No refunds will be given for these interruptions or cancellations beyond our control.
