Reservations and Confirmations
Reservation Requests must always be made in writing and sent to our office by email, 30 days in advance, especially in groups, due to the company’s work policy.
The following information is important:
• Full names as they appear on the passport or ID (adult and/or child)
• Number of people, airport pick-up, bus terminal, other points
• Indicate the date, time of departure, arrival and return, requested hotel
• Passport / ID number, nationality, age, language
• Additional services
Seasons:
High season:
May, June, July and August (Easter, long holidays, mountaineering and National Holidays)
October, November and December (School Promotion)
During high season, reservations cannot be accepted with less than 48 hours’ notice for individuals, for groups with a minimum of 7 days’ notice, due to the company’s work policy.
Low season:
The period not included in the high season, in low seasons, reservations can be attended up to 24 hours in advance.
All reservations are considered preventive until the prepayment of (30%) of the service is made effective, thus confirming the reservation.
Tour leaders
In land services, Turismo Exploring Perú will grant a free tour driver of 15 paying passengers, except in the case of lodging where each hotel has its own credit card policy, which will be duly informed in case of reservations.
Prices
• Our prices are competitive and include administration and operating costs, are valid for one year, do not include 18% I.G.V and are subject to change without notice due to the current situation in the country.
• National passengers who want an invoice must pay 18% I.G.V.
• Foreign passengers can request payment vouchers at our office (they are exempt from 18% I.G.V)
Payment system
After the contract for your trip, agencies and passengers must make the payment for the right to the reservation with international or national bank transfer, Western Union and others. This payment guarantees the agreement of the service contract with Turismo Exploring Perú.
We accept payments in national currency soles (S/) or in foreign currency American dollars (USD $)
To validate your reservation you must deposit 30% of the total price as initial payment for the contracted service, send a request to our email; info@exploringperu.com or WhatsApp (+51998831355) to provide you with the account number in soles or dollars, YAPE or PLIN can also make payments online from our website.
Once the deposit is confirmed, we will send you the ticket or contract. The remaining 70% balance must be paid in Huaraz or Lima during your information meeting at our office or at your hotel before the departure of your trip.
There is no refund if you cancel less than 30 days in advance.
All reservations are considered preventive until the prepayment of (30%) of the service is made effective, which will confirm the reservation:
• In groups, 100% 30 days before the arrival of the passengers.
• In independent passengers 100% 7 days before the arrival of the passengers.
• The final invoice will be issued at the time the transfer arrives or at the latest with the arrival of the group and/or passengers. This will be sent by mail, according to the client’s request.
Cancellations
The percentage of reservations cancelled by the client are due to unforeseen circumstances, such as: flight delays, social conflicts (strikes or riots), bad weather, road blockages, landslides and any other inconvenience caused by third parties.
The applicable penalties for cancellations of services are:
• 30 days before the departure date 10% of the total
• 30 to 07 days before the departure date 50% of the total.
• 06 to 0 days before the departure date 100% of the total.
The penalties are applicable, due to services such as; Air tickets, train tickets, entrances to Machu Picchu, Inca Trail, hotels, transportation, etc. are purchased and reserved in advance and many of them do not have the option of cancellation or refund.
Important note:
The costs of hikes and climbs are not refundable, this includes entrance tickets to the Inca Trail, train tickets, guides, porters, cooks and muleteers (Cusco, Huaraz, Arequipa). This is because the services are reserved and paid at the time the reservation is made, which is why the required deposit is not refundable.
No show We will retain the total amount and we are not responsible for the client’s non-show due to delay or cancellation of their flight. The company is not responsible for damage or loss of luggage, accidents, unforeseen expenses, unavoidable delays, services provided by third parties or direct causes beyond our control. In the event of a no-show for unforeseen reasons, the company will provide a certificate to the client for processing with their insurance company.
Important note: In the event that the client abandons the tour for any reason or motive, extra expenses are the client’s responsibility and the company is not responsible for any reimbursement.
Insurance
Tourism Exploring Peru recommends that all passengers have accident and/or travel insurance and, if possible, evacuation insurance.
We do not provide an accident or travel insurance policy and it is not included in our costs. If a passenger or member of a group becomes ill or an accident occurs, we will transfer them to a nearby clinic for proper care.
In case of accidents or when evacuation is necessary, we organize all the logistics of rescues and evacuation; in both cases, the costs are the responsibility of the client or their insurance.
We recommend that companies and Tour Operators verify whether the passengers they send have travel insurance.
Responsibilities / important
Tourism Exploring Peru reserves the right to modify or withdraw any part of the itinerary planned for a Client in the interest of protecting and/or improving customer service.
Luggage is transported and transferred at the owner’s risk throughout the trip.
The procedure for a visa, passport or permit to enter the country must be managed by the passenger in his/her country of residence.
Tourism Exploring Peru acts only as an agent under the legal conditions that while exercising all possible precautions, cancellations may occur due to weather conditions, natural phenomena, disturbances, damages, losses, delays or any other irregularity that may be caused by voluntary or negligent acts or omissions by companies or individuals providing or contracting in the provision of transportation services, hotel or other services related to the fulfillment of itineraries or tours.
No refund will be granted for these interruptions or cancellations beyond our control.
