Santa Cruz / Llanganuco Trek

Itinerary:
Day 1 Huaraz / Cashapampa / Llamacorral (3,760 m)
Transfer to the north of Huaraz (3,090 m), passing through the towns of Carhuaz, Yungay, and Caraz. We will then arrive at Cashapampa (2,900 m). From there, our trek begins to the Llamacorral campsite (3,760 m) (4 hrs).
Day 2 Llamacorral / Taullipampa (4,250 m)
We will continue our trek through the wide and flat Santa Cruz ravine, crossing the Ichiccocha and Ichiccocha lagoons. From Quisuar, we will begin a side hike toward Alpamayo Base Camp until we reach Arhuaycocha Lagoon, from where we have splendid views of Quitaraju (6,040 m), Alpamayo (5,947 m), Artezonraju (6,025 m), and others. We will then cross to our camp at Taullipampa (4,250 m) (5 hrs).
Day 3 Taullipampa / Pass (4,750 m) / Cachinapampa
We will begin climbing to Punta Unión Pass (4,750 m), from where we can see a large part of the Cordillera Blanca and Negra mountains. We will then begin descending into the Huaripampa Ravine until we reach the Cachinapampa Camp (3,600 m) (6 hrs).
Day 4 Cachinapampa / Pacchapampa (4,200 m)
We will continue descending to the small town of Huaripampa, and then ascend to Pacchapampa 4,200 m (13,000 ft), (4 hrs)
Day 5 Pacchapampa / Pass (4,765 m) / Yuraccorral
After breakfast, we will ascend to the Portachuelo de Llanganuco Pass (4,765 m). From this point, we will enjoy splendid panoramic views of Mount Huascarán, Chopicalqui, Huandoy, Pisco, and Chacraraju. We will then descend into the Llanganuco Gorge to Yuraccorral (12,800 ft) (5 hrs).
Day 6 Yuraccorral / Laguna 69 / Yungay / Huaraz
From our camp, we will hike to Laguna 69, a blue lagoon with cold waters located at the foot of Mount Chacraraju. Lunch will be served, followed by a vehicle transfer to Huaraz, where we will visit the Llanganuco, Orconcocha, and Chinancocha lagoons.
