Program:
Day 1 Cusco / Cachora / Chikiska
Early in the morning we will travel for 4 hours from Cusco to the Curahuasi Pass from 3,350 to 4,100 m and then we will begin to walk down the pass to the town of Cachora. We will take a half-hour break in the town to load our equipment onto the mule and then we will begin to walk for approximately 5 hours to our camp known as Chikiska in front of an imposing mountain and the mystical snow-capped Salkantay.
Day 2 Chikiska / Choquequirao
After breakfast we will begin the hike down to the Apurimac River. We will descend until we reach the Apurimac Canyon. We will observe two impressive geographical panoramas, one of mountains, snow-capped peaks and the other no less beautiful than the semi-tropical valley and the Apurimac River. With this wonderful view we will have lunch at Rosalina Beach, then we will cross the bridge to begin the climb for approximately 3 hours until we reach Choquequirao at 3,577 m
Day 3 Visit Choquequirao
We will have an energetic breakfast then visit Choquequirao, we will tour this magical place full of energy and culture. We will appreciate the Plazas, the Sacred Fountains, the Towers, the Agricultural and Urban Sector, and from the Terrace we will observe the domains of the Inca. Camp in Choquequirao.
Day 4 Choquequirao / Chikiska
This day after breakfast we will visit it again and head to the usnu to see with a bit of luck the flight of the condors next to the archaeological group or towards the Apurimac canyon. Return to our camp in Chikiska.
Day 5 Chikiska / Cachora / Cuzco
Early in the morning after breakfast we will begin the ascent for 3 hours with a fantastic, mystical and wild atmosphere in front of us the imposing snowy peak of Salkantay with a height of 6,300 m, return to the town of Cachora and then board our minivan bound for Cusco.
